"Honesty is the first chapter in the book of wisdom."

Is there anything more satisfying as the weather starts to cool off than getting cozy under a blanket with a good book? Now before you get worried, I am not wishing the warmth away...I am just preparing for it. No point in being silly, it will happen sooner or later, but rest assured the warm weather will return next year.
Ahhhhhhh, Fall. T'is the season where the chubby girls reemerge. Gone are the days of the skinny ladies running around in booty shorts and scrunch bikinis. As the weather gets cooler, clothes get thicker and your sense of humor and personality will once again be taking center stage. Prepare fellow chubs! for there are good times ahead (except for Halloween).
As we approach this time as a smaller version of ourselves, I hope that myself and anyone else that has started the battle of the bulge, does not get side tracked from all the progress that is and has been made. While the BBQs are slowing down and the temptations of summer treats at your local market are vanishing, within a few months there will be talk of pies and turkey dinners. I don't know about you but I personally over the next few months would like to keep my wits about me, logging in as many hours walking outside and the beautiful, fresh, clean air and the approaching Holiday Seasons as an ever smaller individual before the icy walks and roads pop up out of nowhere.
That being said, after the exercise why can't comfort and calm ease its way in. Tonight I'm taking full advantage of comfort and spoiling my poor feet a little more than I have been. I have always had the habit of walking around the house in bare feet. I don't moisturize or pumice them as often as I should, which along with the numerous bug bites leads to me having some nasty looking troll footsies. Cover the eyes of children, I have cracked heels!
While out and about this evening I ran across the ugliest but softest slippers I've seen in a long while. They needed to be mine and are now right where they belong, on my hobbit feet. While others may say it is still too warm out for slippers, son please, I live in a basement apartment. I could have used these over a month ago. These combined with the scarf/blanket from Afghanistan that I received from Mel will be just the thing.
Another small purchased made this evening that will not only go towards my comfort at home but at the gym - no-slip grip all day hold - head bands by SCUNCI. I have purchased many a band over the last few years to keep my hair back and these suckers finally got it right! If you are like me and aren't sure if the others slip off your head due to the size of your melon, slickness of hair or that you are a freak that head bands even reject, your search is over. I've had one on for over an hour and its still where I put it and not snapping across the room. I'm giving these a five star rating!
I didn't stop reading the book months ago because it was boring (it's not! I've had a few moments of enlightenment), but perhaps I wasn't ready for all of the information I was getting. It gets you to think so much about the root of the problem and healthy ways to deal with the stressful triggers that may cause you to do the things you do. I don't want to say this is just about food, it's about life. I have found my way back to this book and hope that over the next week it is another I can cross off my list. It's a good read and I hope others take the time to look it up. I'm opening myself up to any info available at this point.
Nothing tastes as good as being thin feels,
