Tough love

Dearest Body,
I love you, but I don't love whats inside you. From here on out I am the US and your fat cells are one of the many places I've stuck my nose and guns. The only difference is I'm sure you will be pleased with the changes that will be made.
There have been many other bodies/countries that have had foreign invaders and it's been corrected. I am no different and I will succeed.
The war on fat has now been started.

So far today has been great. Dropped the car off to have the brakes, a tune up and an oil change done. Got dropped at home and soon went out with Richard to get the liquor license signed for their wedding coming up in October. The drive was nice and it was pleasant to see the location where the wedding will be held. The water was so nice and smooth this morning it would have been AWESOME to go for a canoe ride. Beautiful.

Thankfully the visit with Richard concluded with a walk at the qplex. At my last visit with Keith he said that I should be adding more walking into my workout routine. The walk was to included small burst of energy to get the heart rate up and then slow to bring it back down. The two times I've done trails this week definitely did this on their own. The Irving Nature Park was by far harder than those at the qplex outside, BUT those at the qplex are much better groomed and more comfortable for walking. Lovely crushed gravel, wide enough to walk and talk. Gotta love it.

I'm glad that I have the walk out of the way but I will be going to Curves before carrying on to Trudy and Richards tonight for dinner. I just need to know that I've done all I can before Thursday. Wednesday isn't usually a workout day for me...this week, it is. I hope to have it all in before the afternoon so my body can relax until the 9am weigh-in. I may not hit the forty pound mark, but I'm on my way there. Need to keep reminding myself of that.

It's a privilage to have a body that can take me places.
Thank you body.
