Good afternoon! This post is going to be a little different from those that have been put up so far. I know like me, many of you go thru the process of painting yourself every morning with things that are suppose to make us look and feel better. Honestly, makeup has become something that I have looked forward to and appreciated over the last year and a half.
While everything else in my life seems out of control and messy the one thing I know I can control is my makeup and the beauty of it...one size does fit all. My foundation really doesn't care that I'm "heavy" and can't fit in to most clothing at the popular stores that my skinny/healthy counterparts can. The only difference between myself and those people when it comes to makeup is that perhaps I'll have to purchase a new bottle sooner.
For a girl that used to only wear concealer and mascara, my collection has blown some what out of proportion and is no longer in a makeup bag, but a box. I don't feel guilty about it though because I've been smart about what I buy. Either my products are on sale or if I cannot purchase it around here, I buy it from ebay and make sure it is coming from the lowest seller (great products, low price point).
Another place that I have discovered is e.l.f (eyes, lips and face) cosmetics. While not all products are up to snuff, some are really fantastic for the price (all over sticks, brushes, bronzers and blushes etc). The prices are always great and e.l.f also puts up promotions which make it even more affordable (even more so for those just starting out).This isn't a commercial and I'm not getting paid by these people. I just know as someone who spends many days feeling unattractive, fat and ugly that spending a little extra time on myself when I get ready for my day really helps. While other people may be looking in and judging my appearance on the outside, but it doesn't hurt as much when I know that on the inside I'm feeling more beautiful by the day and my talents are growing as my waistline shrinks.
I deserve to feel special...just like my friends and family do. It doesn't have to be large expensive things that brighten my day. I just have to put the effort into it and myself.
My booty may be round, but so are apples.
